While modeling a bougainvillea flower I was inspired to make an illustration showing them as a monster carefully positioning itself as it grows to maximize its changes of catching and eating people passing by...they do have a very aggresive nature.

Everything except the flowers themselves is pretty much a complete 3D scene of subtools in ZBrush 3. The flowers and small stones are then added in 2.5 D and different render takes are layered in Photoshop to create the final image.
